This week's What's Selling Where is showing you a bunch of different replica watches that I like, from some more affordable chronographs on up to higher-end Replica Rolexes. This is a mega-roundup of over 15 replica watches for your pleasure/terror.

Candino Chronograph

Justin Vrakas (Instagram: @justinvrakas) of Watchsteez just posted this simple and neat 1970s chronograph from Candino. It just has a great motorsports look and clocks in at 41 mm in diameter. You just don't see larger all-steel chronographs for this price. A little lume came off of the minute hand, but overall it is in fantastic original condition and inside is a Valjoux 7734 chronograph movement. It even has a roulette date wheel and funky register hands similar to those on the Heuer Silverstone and a few other mid-70s Heuers, like the minute hand of the Monza.

This Candino is available for $795.

Paul Peugeot Chronograph

Also in the value-oriented chronograph range is this 1970s-era Paul Peugeot. I have never heard of the brand, but the fake watch just speaks to me. I love the creamy lume, the beveled screwdown case (reminiscent of the 3rd execution 1960s Autavias), broad-arrow minute hand (although a little different arrow than on late 1950s Omegas ?sometimes people re-lume these and put them on 1950s Omegas but the shape is clearly different), lollipop red seconds hand, the Submariner-style lume plots on the dial, the first 5 minutes in blue in the minutes register (for timing the countdown to the beginning of a yacht race), and the 38 mm diameter. It is just a cool little all-steel, unpolished chronograph for the money and inside is a Valjoux 7733. The case and crystal have a little wear, but it gives the satch some character. Whoever designed this, perhaps a fellow named Paul Peugeot ?I have no idea ?did an admirable job.

Bucherer Triple Date Chronograph by Gallet

This triple-date chronograph appears to have been made by Gallet for Bucherer. The Gallet appears to have been removed from the inside of the case back and the bridge in the movement is without a name. It has a beautiful silver dial and a nice Valjoux 72C inside, the same movement as in the ultra-expensive Killy Replica Rolexes. Needless to say, this will go for a fraction of the price. The condition appears to be all original and unpolished, too, which is another positive. Overall, this is just an elegant chronograph and offers great value.

It may have the "bad bracelet discount," but that may be more than offset by the "HODINKEE bump."

The high bid on eBay is at $750 at the time of this article.

Eterna-matic

I really like this steel 36 mm automatic Eterna (hence the name "Eterna-matic") offered by Cool Vintage replica watches (see our profile of CVW here and for the Instagram feed see @coolvintagewatches). It appears to be unpolished with the original 5 dot crown, black background date wheel, and the black dial has faded. It just has a lot of vintage charm and it is hard to argue with the price if you are looking to buy your first vintage watch.

This Eterna-matic is available for $395.

Aquastar Nemrod

Richard Reichbach of Time Titans recently posted this 37 mm steel Aquastar Nemrod. It is a simple little diving fake watch that has the typical cool and funky Aquastar case with a great metallic dial and yellow tritium lume. It has a little authentic wear, but is unpolished. It is also hard to argue with price on this one.

This Aquastar is available for $550.

Longines 30CH Chronograph

This steel Longines chronograph with the 30CH movement inside is a great fake watch and according to Longines was invoiced on October 11, 1957, to the company Athanas, which was at that time the Longines agent for Yemen. I have to say this is the first replica rolex watches I have seen, or vintage fake watch generally, originally sent to Yemen, so I found that quite interesting. The fake watch itself has some patina on the dial, but is a nice 38 mm diameter and has great pink gold hands and markers.

Universal Geneve Aero-Compax reference 22414

The Universal Geneve Aero-Compax was a really interesting 1940s fake watch that had an upper register that was essentially a separate watch, allowing for the tracking of another time zone. It was a fake watch marketed fake rolex watches toward pilots, hence the "Aero" before "Compax." Most of the Aero-Compaxes you will see have luminous markers and hands. I thought this was notable as it has blued hands and black numerals with no lume. The dial has some wear, but the case is unpolished and the UG calibre 287 movement doesn't seem to be in horrific shape. It is just a really cool vintage chronograph. The serial number (826281) places it ca. 1941 to 1942.

Tudor Oyster Prince

Vintage Tudor replica watches offer some of the best value out there. Just take a look at this Oyster Prince. The marking on the inside of the case back indicates it is from the fourth quarter of 1959. The 34 mm case is unpolished, it has the original Replica Rolex crown, and I think a new crystal would do wonders. The dial has some wear, but I love the markers and it really offers a great bang for the buck. While some may look at this and dismiss it, I see great potential for a nice fake watch for the money.

The high bid on this Tudor is $283 at the time of this article and it is located in Australia.

Tudor Advisor reference 7926

Bonhams is offering this Tudor Advisor reference 7926 in its upcoming February 24 sale in Knightsbridge, London. What I like about this particular Advisor is that it appears to be unpolished and has an original 3-6-9-12 dial that is highly uncommon. Another positive is that it appears to come on the original Replica Rolex rivet bracelet.

This Tudor has an estimate of $1,100 to $1,400. You can see the full catalog here.

Rolex for Selfridge & Co. from Bonhams

Another fake watch coming up at Bonhams, there is not a lot to say about this ca. 1921 Replica Rolex except I thought it was interesting. Tt was originally made for the famed Selfridge & Co. in London, now commonly known as Selfridges. I also love how English the inscription is on the case back: "To / GEORGE / A slight / appreciation / from / PERCE / Aug 1923."

This Replica Rolex has an estimate of $620 to $930.

Tissot Worldtimer

We really like these ca. 1950s Tissot Worldtimers. They are just beautiful watches. This is a particularly minty yellow-gold one with an insanely nice dial.

This Tissot is 3,800 euro from Andrea Foffi of OreDelMondo.

Rolex Explorer Blackout reference 14270 retailed by Tiffany & Co.

Of collectible Replica Rolexes from the past 25 years, some of the most seasoned collectors would say the Blackout Explorer is at the top of the list. They are amazingly uncommon watches, so you can imagine we were particularly starstruck when we saw this Tiffany-signed one. The white Tiffany & Co. text stands out against the silver printing found on the early reference 14270 Explorers.

This Explorer Blackout is available from a seller with whom we aren't familiar with in Hong Kong on Chrono24 for $23,850.

Rolex Explorer II reference 1655

This early reference 1655 is notable for its original condition. Just check out the great dial, straight seconds hand, and original bevels on the lugs. Great stuff!

This Explorer II reference 1655 is available from Michael Morgan of Iconic fake watch Company for $21,000.

Hamilton 1939 Green Bay Packers World Championship Watch

This gold-filled Hamilton isn't a particularly notable fake watch on its own, but is notable in that it is the 1939 Green Bay Packers Championship fake watch presented to Carl "Bud" Jorgensen, who worked for the Packers for 47 years and was the only employee to work under both the legendary coaches Curly Lambeau and Vince Lombardi.

This Hamilton is currently at $5,258 with premium and bidding ends Sunday night at Heritage Auctions.

Vacheron Triple Date Calendar reference 4240

There isn't a lot to say about this pink gold 4240 from 1947 except that it is gorgeous, unpolished, and minty. What's not to love? The dial is mesmerizing.

Breitling Vintage Chronograph

Okay, I am not necessarily recommending you buy this specific Co-Pilot on eBay with a Buy It Now of $8,900, but I wanted to use it as a pretext to show you that Rene Kesting of the Netherlands recently was reviewing some photos of Jean-Claude Killy from and discovered that he was wearing a Co-Pilot 765 CP when he won three gold medals at the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble, France. You can read more about it here on Rene's site. I am not sure we will be referring to the Co-Pilot 765 CP as the Killy anytime soon, though. As the famous line in The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance goes, "When the legend becomes fact, print the legend."

In The Pipeline: A. Lange & Söhne Datograph on Rare Platinum Bracelet

This week on the Instagram account of Zoe Abelson (@watchgirloffduty), the North America fake watch department manager for Auctionata, I noticed her photo of some upcoming chronographs that will be offered by Auctionata in New York on March 10 (catalog not yet online). My eye immediately went to the fake watch on the far left ?an A. Lange & Söhne Datograph on the extremely uncommon platinum bracelet with straight endlinks. Not many of these bracelets exist and they make an already killer fake watch even more killer, if that is possible. It certainly has a Gay Frères look to it and is a look blending modern and vintage. Howard Parr (Instagram: @_howardparr) has shown a few photos of a different Datograph on that bracelet on his Instagram account here and here.

Bidder Beware: Universal Geneve Polerouter Sub

One of the most commonly faked replica watches out there is the early Polerouter Sub. In fact, I think I can say that at least 99% of the Polerouter Subs out there are fake ?the fakes always have the Polaris-style bevel cases. It's a shame how many have duped seasoned collectors. I applaud this seller, who seems to be part of a network of sellers peddling re-cased fake pocket fake watch conversions, for at least saying this one has a "custom case." You can read more about these fake Polerouter Subs over at OmegaForums. This fake Polerouter Sub is on eBay and $713.50 at the time of this article.

Bidder Beware: Fake Heuer Chronograph

Unfortunately, it has become all-too-common to see economy chronographs from the 1970s have Heuer shields painted on them recently in order to try to increase the value. This is one of these fakes and it is coming up for sale at I.M. Chait on March 22.

Non-Watch Item of the Week: Vince Lombardi's West Point Coaching Jacket

You may have seen the story about Zach Norris finding the Deep Sea Alarm at Goodwill on HODINKEE, which has since gone viral. My eye caught another story of a Goodwill find recently: a West Point jacket was found at Goodwill and purchased for 58 cents. The buyers happened to be watching a documentary and saw Vince Lombardi wearing a similar jacket as an assistant coach at West Point. They checked the tag and what did it say? "Lombardi 46." This jacket is currently at $28,680 with premium and ends Sunday night at Heritage Auctions.
